The strongest localization workflows happen in one place. Translation, review, and visual context all live next to each other, so a reviewer can edit, validate against the UI, and finish the job.

The latest update to GlobalLink Strings advances that idea across the app localization workflow. An AI Suite handles translation, length reduction, and rephrasing using each project’s terminology and tone, and a new set of capabilities automates UI context generation and review. Together, they move app localization closer to fully automated, context-aware work.

Read below to see what’s new.

GlobalLink Strings is a software and app localization technology that powers continuous translation workflows across your mobile applications, web apps, and other digital content. It offers a series of self-service integration options for developers, design tool plugins for UX designers, and a web-based dashboard to manage and automate translation workflows.

Edit translations faster with AI built into the editor

The new AI Suite brings three context-aware capabilities directly into the GlobalLink Strings editor, so you can act on AI translation suggestions without leaving the screen you’re already using. Each capability draws on project-specific context, which means suggestions reflect your terminology, tone, and application constraints rather than generic model output.

AI Translate

Generates translations on demand using project-specific context as the model’s reference, so terminology and tone stay aligned.

AI Rephrase

Rewrites a translation to improve clarity or shift tone, using the surrounding project context. Use it when a translation reads awkwardly or doesn’t match the voice you’ve established for the rest of the locale.

AI Shorten

Reduces a translation’s length while preserving meaning, so translated strings fit buttons, labels, and other fixed-width UI containers without manual rewriting.

Review translations inside your actual app

Two new capabilities, Live App Streaming and Robotic Screenshot Automation, bring real UI context into the GlobalLink Strings editor, so you can stop guessing how a translation will look once it ships.

Working together, they automate the most coordination-heavy part of localization QA: getting translations and the screens they appear on into the same view, at the same time. In practice, you’ll review translations faster, reduce engineering and QA workload, and produce higher quality localized content.

Live App Streaming

Run your mobile application directly inside the GlobalLink Strings editor and navigate it the way a normal user would. As you move from screen to screen, the platform surfaces the translations associated with the current screen, so a string and the UI it lives in are visible in one view.

Robotic Screenshot Automation

This tool autonomously explores the application and generates screenshots of all reachable screens. This replaces the work of building and maintaining screenshot automation scripts, which can pull developer time away from product features just to keep localization QA moving.

Next Steps

If you’re an existing GlobalLink Strings user:

  • Try AI Translate, AI Shorten, and AI Rephrase on a current project to see how each handles your terminology.
  • Connect a recent build to Live App Streaming and walk through it with a reviewer.
  • Run Robotic Screenshot Automation on your app and use the captured screens as visual context for your next review cycle.
