Case Study: Optimize Translation Budget

Challenge:

A tech and communications leader wanted to optimize their translation budget for technical documentation after finding that standard human-only translation wasn’t cost-efficient.

Solution:

To support this requirement, we first customized company-specific machine translation engines for their nine key languages to improve the quality of machine translation output. We then combined the improved machine translation output with human post-editing workflows.

Results:

Thanks to the efficiency gains provided by the customized machine translation engines, human linguists were able to work faster. As a result, the company realized an average cost savings of 25% across all languages compared to standard human-only translation while also improving quality.
