Case Study: Maximize the Use of Linguistic Assets

Challenge:

A global leader in medical technology and device solutions needed to provide Spanish translation support for a chatbot they’d developed for query handling by internal employees.

Solution:

Given the company’s rigorous accuracy standards, we implemented a tailored approach that included GlobalLink Now API along with a custom MT engine that we created using the company’s translation memories and terminology. Once we generated the translation, we followed it up with several rounds of qualitative linguistic feedback.

Results:

Based on the quality improvements achieved through the custom engine, our pure machine translation output by GlobalLink Now API achieved an accuracy score of over 85% for Spanish translations, enabling the company to deploy the chatbot for use by employees.
